Please believe me when I say, Mindy is the best! She's totally devoted to her craft that of eco-minded skin care and hair styling. I've been going to Mindy for 8 yrs now and my admiration for her professionalism and sheer (pun intended) niceness just grows and grows. She's a wonder.
Her charges are fair and reasonable, the eco-themed atmosphere is calming and she'll treat you like her most important client. I've told several friends about Mai Blossom, going back a few years, and they're just as pleased with her work as I am.
I've been going to Mindy at three different locations now -- finally, she has her own salon and it's in her image -- wonderful!

Mai Blossom Salon is my new favorite place! I went in search of organic color and other hair care products after reading many articles and research about the horrible chemicals put into the majority of products on the market, even if they claim to be 'natural.' The ammonia and other chemicals used in hair color (both at salons and from a store-bought box) were truly concerning to me after reading about the damage they cause not only to hair, but also to your body since it's applied to the scalp and is absorbed into the skin. It turns out I found only ONE salon in all of San Diego that uses truly organic products.
After my first experience with Mindy at Mai Blossom Salon, I was hooked! The organic color system she uses has a pleasant and non-chemical smell and doesn't burn or itch my scalp, and the color doesn't fade! My hair has never looked so good or felt this healthy, and I feel better about not soaking my scalp in ammonia every couple of months.
Mindy is truly a blessing and not only knew exactly how to color, cut, and manage my hair, but the price is very reasonable and she's fast! She made suggestions for wonderful organic shampoo and conditioner to use at home, and makes your visit to the salon relaxing and pleasant. Mai Blossom is a quiet and tranquil salon that uses quality organic products with friendly service. It is an overall gem and I'm so glad I found it!
